File system rot is not-uncommon (although far less common than it used to be). Try some combination of the following: --HEAD : Rather than compiling a tagged OpenCV release (i.e., v3.0, v3.1, etc.) the --HEAD switch instead clones down the bleeding-edge version of OpenCV from GitHub. Why would we bother doing this? Simple. We need to avoid the QTKit error that plagues macOS Sierra systems with the current tagged OpenCV 3 releases (please see the “Avoiding the QTKit/QTKit.h file not found error” section of this blog post for more information) DiskDrill, CleverFiles and others. Ordinarily this could mean having to access a number of system settings or manually running a large number of script. But with Yasu you can simply select the cleanup operations you would like to perform and they will be executed in one fell swoop. Lion, Mavericks, or another Mac OS X will benefit from installing YASU application. Many Mac owners have already called it the simplest maintenance utility available on the web. The major function of the software is to assign and control various system tasks as well as wipe and maintain various areas of the operating system. Select Reinstall a new copy of macOS. You’ll notice that unlike many of my previous OpenCV 3 install tutorials, Homebrew does not make use of Python virtual environments, a best practice when doing Python development.
